What is WordPress hosting, and how is it different from regular web hosting?

WordPress hosting is hosting intended for websites built with WordPress. Both regular web hosting and WordPress hosting can run WordPress; the important differences are the resources, included tools, limits and support of the specific plan. A WordPress-focused plan may make it easier to choose resources for a blog, company website or content-heavy project, but the label alone does not guarantee faster performance or managed maintenance.

Compare the number of websites, NVMe storage, backups and support included in each LumoHosting WordPress plan before deciding.

Which WordPress hosting plan should I choose?

Starter is a sensible place to compare for a first WordPress website. Business is designed for a growing site or someone managing more projects, while Pro is worth comparing when you need higher website or storage limits. The right plan depends on your plugins, media library, expected traffic and how many websites you intend to host—not just the cheapest advertised price.

Use the plan comparison for explicitly listed limits. If you are unsure about CPU, RAM or other resource restrictions, ask for the current specifications before ordering.

Can I host a business website or WooCommerce store?

Yes, WordPress can be used for business websites, portfolios, blogs and online stores built with plugins such as WooCommerce. Hosting needs differ: a brochure site may be relatively light, while a store with product images, checkout activity and multiple plugins can use more server resources.

Before choosing a plan, estimate your website size, traffic and plugin requirements. Check compatibility, PHP and database versions, backups and any resource limits with us. We don't want to promise that every WordPress or WooCommerce workload will perform equally on every plan.

Is WordPress installation included?

WordPress is free, open-source website software, but you still need hosting, a domain and an installation method to publish your site. WordPress is commonly installed through a hosting control panel or installer, or set up manually using a database and website files.

Before purchasing, confirm which installation tools, control-panel features and setup assistance are included with the exact LumoHosting plan you select. If this is your first website, tell us what you're building so we can explain the practical setup steps.

Will NVMe storage make my WordPress website faster?

NVMe storage can help with fast storage access, which may benefit database and file operations. LumoHosting's listed WordPress plans include NVMe storage, with capacity varying by plan. However, storage technology is only one part of website speed.

Your theme, images, plugins, page caching, database health, server resources and visitor location also influence loading performance. For a faster WordPress site, keep images optimized, avoid unnecessary plugins and evaluate caching and resource requirements. We do not promise a specific loading time from NVMe alone.

Do WordPress plans include SSL certificates?

SSL helps encrypt data exchanged between a visitor's browser and your website, allowing HTTPS connections when correctly installed. The current central pricing information explicitly lists Free SSL for some WordPress plans, but it is not listed consistently for every plan.

Check the feature comparison and confirm SSL availability, certificate coverage and renewal arrangements for the plan you want—especially if you intend to collect enquiries or operate an online store. A certificate supports secure connections, but it does not replace software updates and other website-security measures.

Are WordPress backups included, and how often?

The WordPress pricing information currently lists weekly backups for Starter and daily backups for Business and Pro. Backup frequency is helpful, but it doesn't tell the whole story. Before relying on hosting backups, ask about retention periods, restore requests, storage coverage and whether additional restore charges apply.

For important WordPress websites, it's sensible to keep an independent backup as well—particularly before major updates, migrations or plugin changes. That provides another recovery option if a change causes problems.

Can you help migrate my existing WordPress website?

A WordPress migration usually involves website files, the database, domain/DNS settings and sometimes email. Plugins, theme compatibility and custom configuration may need attention too. A careful move starts with a verified backup, followed by testing on the destination hosting before DNS changes are finalized.

Migration assistance may depend on your selected plan, so please ask us to review your current website before assuming the transfer is included. We can clarify the likely steps and what you or the hosting team would need to do.

Can I use my existing domain and email address?

You can generally use an existing domain with a new hosting provider by updating the relevant DNS records. Your domain registration does not always need to move. If you already use email at your domain, plan the change carefully: website DNS, mail records and email hosting may be handled by different services.

Email mailbox availability, capacity and migration assistance should be confirmed for the selected WordPress hosting plan. Before changing nameservers, check your MX, SPF, DKIM and other relevant DNS records so your current email service is not unintentionally disrupted.

How does monthly, yearly and two-year billing work?

Our pricing selector lets you compare monthly, one-year and two-year terms where rates are available. For longer terms, the displayed ₹/mo figure is a monthly equivalent, not necessarily an amount charged every month. The actual billed total depends on the selected term—for example, a yearly monthly-equivalent rate is multiplied by 12.

Switch between the billing options in the pricing section to see the corresponding plan amount and term details. Confirm taxes, renewal rates, and any other applicable charges before placing an order.

Can I upgrade my WordPress hosting later?

If your site grows, you may need more storage, additional website capacity or other server resources. Reviewing hosting requirements periodically is useful, particularly after adding an online store, heavier plugins or another website.

Whether an upgrade or downgrade is available immediately, how data is transferred, and how billing is adjusted depend on the hosting and billing platform. Contact LumoHosting with your current plan and requirements for the available change options; don't assume an upgrade is automatic or free.
