Agreement & scope
These Terms of Service explain the basic conditions for purchasing and using LumoHosting services. They apply to customers of LumoHosting and to people authorized to access a customer's account or hosted services.
Our services include Web Hosting, WordPress Hosting, VPS Hosting, dedicated servers, domain-related services, Google Workspace or other email licences, SSL certificates, and any additional products expressly offered at checkout. Product descriptions, order details and applicable policies form part of the relevant purchase terms.
At a glance: Use accurate account details, protect your credentials, pay invoices when due, use services lawfully, maintain independent backups, and review the product-specific terms before ordering.
Accounts & responsibilities
Customers must provide accurate, current account and billing details, keep login credentials confidential, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Actions performed through an account may be attributed to its holder where appropriate, subject to investigation of unauthorized access.
Customers are responsible for securing their websites, applications, passwords, plugins and software, managing access granted to their users, and ensuring they have permission to publish or process content through the services.
Account sharing or ownership changes may require further verification to prevent fraud and protect existing services.
Identity verification & KYC
LumoHosting may request identity and business information when reasonably necessary for account security, fraud prevention, applicable legal compliance, and service administration. Customers must provide authentic information through designated secure channels. Additional validation may apply to certain infrastructure products.
Completing KYC is mandatory to qualify for our voluntary 7-day hosting refund guarantee. Incomplete verification can put a voluntary refund request on hold while a reasonable opportunity to complete verification is provided. Fraudulent documents or deliberate impersonation may lead to rejection of the voluntary benefit and other proportionate account measures.
Never disclose passwords, payment PINs or one-time passcodes during verification. Personal data is handled in accordance with applicable law and our published Privacy Policy.
Orders, pricing & activation
Service specifications, resource limits, billing cycles and charges are those shown on the relevant product page, order summary or invoice at the time of purchase. Taxes or third-party charges will be shown where applicable. An order may require payment, verification or manual provisioning before activation.
We may contact the customer to clarify an order that contains inconsistent information or triggers a legitimate fraud or security concern. If a product cannot be provisioned, the customer will be informed of the available options and any applicable legal remedies.
Domain names, third-party licences and certain infrastructure products may be subject to additional registrar, registry or supplier terms disclosed in the relevant purchase process.
Billing, renewals & overdue invoices
Invoices and payment due dates are shown in the customer account or checkout. Customers should check renewal settings and invoices in advance. Any automatic-renewal arrangement must be disclosed and authorized through the applicable purchase process.
Renewal reminders, where sent, are a courtesy and do not replace the customer's responsibility to check renewal dates. We have not established a universal late fee, automatic deletion deadline or grace period.
Where a valid invoice remains unpaid, the affected service may be restricted, suspended or ultimately terminated after applicable notices and procedures. We do not promise a universal grace period, reinstatement deadline, late-payment charge or data-retention window unless separately specified for the product.
Service renewals, upgrades, add-ons, and related fees are governed by the relevant product terms and the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Nothing in this section removes mandatory consumer remedies.
Acceptable use & prohibited activities
Customers must use LumoHosting services lawfully and must not use them to conduct or facilitate fraud, phishing, malware distribution, unauthorized access, attacks against networks, spam or other unlawful activity. Copyright infringement, misuse of third-party information and interference with other customers' services are also prohibited where they violate applicable law or published acceptable-use requirements.
Customers are responsible for activity carried out through their hosted content, domains or services to the extent required by applicable law and the circumstances of the account.
A complaint about a domain or hosted service may trigger an investigation, but an allegation alone does not establish misconduct or automatically cancel refund rights.
Shared resources & fair usage
Web Hosting and WordPress Hosting plans operate with defined resources, including storage, CPU, memory, entry processes, database capacity, email usage and other limits stated in each plan's specifications. Customers must use these resources in ways that do not materially disrupt server stability, security or other customers.
Activities such as sustained excessive resource consumption, unapproved bulk mailing, unsolicited messages, abusive automated processes, and using hosting space primarily for file dumping or unrelated backups may be restricted where inconsistent with the purchased plan or published usage rules.
Actual CPU, RAM, I/O, inode, mailbox and other applicable limits are those displayed for your purchased LumoHosting plan. We do not impose HostPeppy's numerical thresholds or promise that every plan has identical limits.
Where practicable, we may contact you about optimization or an appropriate plan change. Urgent protective action may be necessary where use threatens availability or security. Any suspension must follow the abuse and service restrictions described in these Terms and applicable law.
Meaning of “unlimited” and storage use
If a LumoHosting product description uses the term “unlimited,” it refers to the particular listed feature under ordinary, lawful website use and reasonable technical constraints. It does not mean infinite physical resources, unrestricted CPU or memory, or permission to interfere with other users.
Features described with a fixed allowance remain subject to that allowance. A plan advertised with 10 GB NVMe storage, for example, is not an unlimited-storage plan. Customers should rely on their specific order and plan specifications rather than assumptions drawn from another product.
Operating a public file repository, high-volume media distribution system, unauthorized proxy, resource-intensive automated service or unrelated archive may require a suitable VPS or dedicated product and any applicable permissions. Restrictions should be based on actual product capabilities, published rules and security impact.
Domain names, registration & third-party rules
Domain searches and availability indicators are provisional until a registration or transfer is successfully confirmed by the relevant registry or registrar. Registrations, renewals and transfers are subject to applicable registry rules, eligibility conditions, identity checks, trademark rights, and the information customers provide.
Customers are responsible for supplying correct registrant details, maintaining reachable contact information and renewing domains by their applicable due dates. LumoHosting may need to act on valid registry notices, disputes or legal instructions. Purchasing a domain does not grant rights to another party's trademark.
Domain registrations, renewals and transfers are excluded from LumoHosting's voluntary 7-day hosting guarantee. If an order cannot be fulfilled, we will review any legally required refund or other appropriate remedy rather than retain payment for an undelivered service without review.
Software licences, email & SSL
Services that depend on external platforms—including Google Workspace, domain registries, SSL certificate authorities and licensed server software—may be subject to supplier requirements, verification procedures, feature changes and service-specific terms disclosed at purchase.
Customers must follow lawful licensing conditions and maintain any settings or approvals required to use those products. LumoHosting will communicate material changes where reasonably practicable. The voluntary 7-day hosting refund guarantee does not cover Google Workspace or other email subscriptions, SSL certificates, VPS or dedicated servers; applicable statutory remedies remain available.
We do not promise specific third-party prices, support turnaround times or licence renewal grace periods unless they have been expressly confirmed for the purchased product.
Affiliate & referral conduct
Participation in the LumoHosting Affiliate Program is subject to its published program details and any separate accepted agreement. Where eligible, the intended commission model is 20% on the first qualifying purchase only, not recurring commissions on every renewal.
Fake signups, self-referrals designed to manufacture commissions, impersonation, spam, misleading advertisements and tampering with referral tracking are prohibited. Suspected misconduct may be reviewed before commissions are approved or paid.
Payout thresholds, payment methods, tracking windows and processing schedules are not established by these Terms and must not be inferred from another provider's affiliate program. Please review the affiliate program page for any subsequently confirmed details.
Abuse investigation & service suspension
When we receive a credible abuse report, legal direction, or evidence of a serious security incident, we may investigate, request clarification, preserve relevant records and take proportionate protective action. Depending on urgency, this may include limiting access, isolating affected resources, suspending a service or terminating it for substantiated serious violations.
We may also investigate credible intellectual-property complaints, including takedown notices, and may request sufficient information to assess the claim. We will not treat an unsupported allegation as conclusive proof. Where practical and lawful, we will provide an explanation or an opportunity to respond. Immediate restriction may be necessary to contain active attacks or meet binding legal requirements.
Verified unlawful conduct, fraud or material policy violations disqualify the customer from LumoHosting's voluntary refund guarantee. This does not displace statutory consumer rights, and a refund claim required by law is considered separately.
7-day refunds, lifetime limit & wallet
Our voluntary 7-day refund guarantee applies to eligible purchases of Web Hosting and WordPress Hosting only, within the eligibility window set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Each verified customer is eligible for at most one approved voluntary 7-day refund over their lifetime across all LumoHosting accounts and both eligible product types. A new account, email address or order does not reset the limit. Verified identity and transaction history—not a shared IP address or household alone—are used to assess potential repeats. Customers may request review of mistaken matches.
KYC completion, legitimate account use and other published eligibility requirements apply. Approved voluntary refunds are credited to the LumoHosting Wallet and may be used for future eligible purchases or renewals. They are not paid to UPI, Paytm, external wallets, bank accounts or the original payment source as part of this voluntary guarantee.
Domain registration, transfers and renewals, VPS Hosting, dedicated servers, Google Workspace and other email services, and SSL certificates are non-refundable under the voluntary policy. These services can be cancelled, but cancellation alone does not create a voluntary refund entitlement.
Mandatory refunds and legal remedies are exceptions: wallet-credit and non-refundable limitations do not restrict rights or payment methods that applicable law requires.
Cancellation & termination
Customers can request cancellation through the available client-area workflow or by contacting LumoHosting support. Where supported, the order or cancellation interface may distinguish immediate termination from termination at the end of the paid term. Customers should check the effect of the option selected.
Cancellation can result in loss of service access and eventual deletion of associated data according to actual product arrangements and legal retention obligations. Customers should export website files, databases, email and other important content before termination. Cancelling one service does not automatically cancel associated domains, licences or separately billed products.
We may terminate a service for verified serious violations or when otherwise permitted by the applicable agreement and law; any charges or remedies will be assessed under the relevant published terms.
Customer data, backups & privacy
Customers are responsible for maintaining independent, usable backups of important data, including website files, databases, configurations and email. Backup availability and frequency depend on the product and any purchased backup features. Unless expressly promised in a purchased plan, LumoHosting does not guarantee a particular backup frequency, recovery point or restoration time. Customers should test their own backups and keep independent copies outside the hosted service.
We aim to protect service and customer information through appropriate technical and organizational measures. Account verification, security monitoring, complaint handling and record retention must follow applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
Customer content remains subject to the customer's rights and responsibilities. Hosting a file or application with LumoHosting does not grant us ownership of that content.
Availability, maintenance & dependencies
Hosting performance and availability can be affected by scheduled maintenance, customer configurations, upstream connectivity, cyber incidents and events beyond reasonable control. We aim to address incidents reasonably and communicate material impacts where feasible.
Specific uptime commitments, service credits or response-time targets apply only where expressly stated in an applicable service-level agreement or product commitment. We do not claim an unspecified uptime percentage in these Terms.
Third-party products such as domain names, SSL certificates and licensed email services can depend on registry, issuer or supplier rules and systems.
Responsibilities, remedies & limitations
Customers should review service specifications and make appropriate arrangements for their business continuity, backups and application security. LumoHosting will consider complaints and service issues in good faith, with remedies assessed according to the service terms and applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer remedies that cannot legally be excluded. Any specific limitation of liability, indemnity, jurisdiction provision or dispute-resolution commitment should be expressly reviewed and agreed before being introduced as a binding term.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services, security practices or legal requirements. Material changes affecting existing customers should be communicated through appropriate channels, with any notice or consent required by law.
The published date identifies the latest version of this page. Any new term will operate only to the extent permitted by the applicable agreement and law.
