A blank WordPress page often points to a plugin, theme, PHP error or exhausted resource limit. Start with reversible checks.
Start with the checks below. Each step explains what to look for and what to try next.
Before you change anything
Make a backup or restore point if possible. Note whether the blank page appears on the front end, wp-admin or both and whether a recent update preceded it.
Check logs and isolate changes
- Review server or PHP error logs for a recent fatal error.
- Check whether a plugin or theme was just updated.
- Disable a suspected plugin using a safe recovery workflow, then reload.
- Check your configured PHP version and memory limits against plugin requirements.
Recover without deleting content
Prefer renaming a plugin folder temporarily over deleting it. Avoid enabling public debug displays that could expose file paths or sensitive information.
Escalate with evidence
Share the timestamp, affected URL and a redacted error-log excerpt with support. Do not share passwords or database secrets in a ticket.
Guidance may vary by plan, control panel version and enabled features. Review the settings available to your account before changing live services.
