How to log in to cPanel

Find your hosting control panel and sign in safely, even when your domain is not pointing to the server yet.

Quick answer

Find your hosting control panel and sign in safely, even when your domain is not pointing to the server yet.

Start with the checks below. Each step explains what to look for and what to try next.

Before you start

You need an active hosting account and the cPanel access details supplied with your service. Your client-area login and cPanel login may be different.

Open your hosting control panel

  1. Sign in to your LumoHosting client account.
  2. Open the relevant hosting service and look for its control-panel or cPanel login action, if provided.
  3. Alternatively, use the secure cPanel address and credentials in your activation details.
  4. Check that the page is using HTTPS before entering your password.

If you cannot log in

Check that you are using the hosting username rather than an email address unless the login page specifically asks for one. Try a private browser window, and reset your password through an official account recovery workflow.

Avoid: entering your password on an unfamiliar link sent in a message.

What to do next

Once inside cPanel, locate File Manager, Domains, SSL/TLS Status (where available), and Email Accounts. Your exact options depend on your hosting plan and enabled features.

Guidance may vary by plan, control panel version and enabled features. Review the settings available to your account before changing live services.
